Another week and another exciting update to the site of Universal Orlando Resort’s waterpark in progress, Volcano Bay! First up though let’s check on the hydro-magnetic water coaster we brought you last week, as it seems to be making some progress:
Moving onto this week’s newest exciting addition is this structure:
While we are unsure what it is, zooming into the crates next to it gives us some insight as we read the crate “Proslide TN Wave”.
A simple google search shows us this is for the TornadoWAVE model ride by ProSlide. Also in some pictures of this model on their site, we can see a frame like the one above supporting the ride:
The supports next the family raft slide we believe to be Ika Moana (green slide in the back ground), could be for this ride, given their proximity to the crates and currently grounded structure:
With that in mind, this is likely for Honu as shown in this concept art, released by the company:
Nearby a large concrete pad continues to develop, which could be sued to support this structure or another:
Krakatau Mountain continues to develop with more siding added:
Inside the structure we see the emergence of some new purple supports, unsure what these could be for as of now:
At the base of the mountain work continues on the wave pool and possible slide out area next to it for a slide that could come off the mountain.
We are now thinking this could be just a tall, fast, straight down, body slide similar to Summit Plummet at Blizzard Beach:
Overall, the waterpark is really starting to take shape, and within a few weeks we expect there to be even more to see rising from the ground. There is already lots going on all over the place sometimes its hard to keep up!
