Welcome to our milestone 5th splash-tastic update on the next waterpark coming to the scene, Volcano Bay at Universal Orlando Resort!
First up, an exciting new slide has gone vertical with pieces in place since our last update, for a water coaster? Either way, we notice a station is in place for the ride as well:
Given that we have heard ProSlide Technology Inc. is working on the whole park, we can assume this could be one of their Hydro-Magnetic models. Basically, this ride could be like riding a bobsled on water! Using magnetic launching technology riders will be thrust through hills and maybe even turns delivery splashes and even airtime throughout the ride.
From what we see above we can assume it is a Hydro-Magnetic Rocket model as seen in other parks like Dollywood’s Splash Country’s River Rush:
Also as seen at Lost Island waterpark in Iowa:
Going back over to Krakatau Mountain we see even more facade work being done on the giant icon:
Just to the side of the mountain facade work, we are watching for potential slide pieces to be put in where these supports continue to be, hoping this could be the secret project of some sort mentioned in the official post:
Moving over to the family slide we showed you last time, likely Ika Moana, looks to have most of it’s pieces on place now:
Some service or facility, possibly even restrooms and changing areas are coming into form next to Taniwha Tubes :
A larger concrete pad is now coming to form with those weird shaped footers which we still expect to be the funnel experience Puihi or Honu. Time will tell:
Back to the base of the volcano, we seem some structures going up next to the wave pool area:
Finally off in the distance, we can see the start of another slide complex and it’s splash-down pools:
Overall the site is looking great, and we can’t wait to watch more pieces go up so be sure to check back soon for our next updates and for more information on all the slides and features coming to Volcano Bay be sure to check out our last construction update.
