Welcome to our 3rd installment of what promises to be many on the growing new waterpark as part of the Universal Orlando Resort:
Starting at the heart and future icon of the park we take a look at the Volcano:
Not many pieces are on the ground nearby anymore suggesting that the volcano’s first skeleton is almost complete:
One of the first things we noticed this week is the start of what appears to be a texture skeleton. This is for molding concrete on that will make the volcano shape and is a big step as construction moves forward:
Also right in that same area we notice footers coming right off the side of the volcano and next to the wave pool:
Speaking of the wavepool the outer walls appear to be taking shape now:
Behind the volcano structure we see new slides rising, we also can see in this picture that another slide piece is assembled and sitting in the wave pool waiting to be hoisted into place:
From the another angle, we can take better look at the new slides:
Elsewhere on the site, the lazy river trough, or so we think it is, has been coming into form more since out last update:
There appears to actually be an end or entry area closer to the volcano, and even has some wooden posts in the ground. This looks as though it could or does connect to the lazy river above. For more, see the overall shots at the end of the post:
Near that we notice 2 newer cinder-block building starting out that could be for restroom/changing facilities or something else:
Remember these odd footers we showed you last time:
They have grown and size and there appears to be lots of pipe work around it as well:
Just taking a look at the overall sight of Cabana Bay as both what it will be and all the footers and everything happening right now can be overwhelming and we can’t wait to see more slides raised into place:
