Welcome to our 28th update on Volcano Bay Water Theme Park. We are within 50 days of opening day and some cool details are starting to emerge all around!
First up, way outside the gate of Volcano Bay, we see signage and the new toll plazas guest will use to park for Volcano Bay. These are an extension of the current plaza but a special roadway will park you on the lower garage levels and be closer to the shuttle.
Near the entrance itself a new structure has started going up:
Also in the entrance plaza outside the park we find some themed lighting a first for us:
Inside the park over by Maku and Puihi we spot a different style of themed lighting as well:
Speaking of Maku and Puihi we spotted our first tube on the conveyor lift this trip:
Nearby, 1 of the 2 Ohno and Ohyah slides has gotten a rooftop vinyl covering. Below that we think we may have spotted the entrance to the slides:
More roof woodwork is taking place on these structures we first showed you a few weeks ago:
We haven’t forgotten about Krakatau Mountain! On the backside work on the stairs and Ko’Okiri body plunge continues:
On the front we don’t see much development since last week, but have noticed more cool tiki carvings in the mountain:
Over at Runnamukka Reef we also don’t see much change either:
Near that, we’re wondering if we have potted our first outdoor bar at Volcano Bay. Under the wrap we can see circular looking bar shape that resembles a bar of some sort:
Finally, we notice that the work going on around the elevator for the water coaster seems to be the biggest tiki we’ve seen yet!
So it seems we find new details each week without ever leaving the ground! From the first time we saw the water coaster to bringing you themed lighting this week! We are you most informational source for Universal Orlando Resort’s newest waterpark! Be sure to follow on our social accounts for more Volcano Bay fun:
