As we cross into the 10th update on Orlando’s most anticipated water theme park, we offer up a special treat thanks to another great site! Andy from Theme Parks and Travels recently took a helicopter ride over several parks and was kind enough to offer up some shots he took over the water park. Be sure to give the site some love as he will be posting other aerials from central Florida parks very soon!
In this second shot we notice the spots where the water leaves off are both headed for inside the volcano leading to what promises to be an exciting ride! We also notice a deeper splash pool coming together towards the top right. This could possibly be for the slides shown in the concept art below where you will fly out and splash down!
Moving onto our normal ground/ building based update, we see that more of Honu is coming together and more pieces wait their turn for placement:
Just behind those slide pieces we some stairs assembled and laying on the ground, most likely for one of the slide complexes, maybe even the one we showed you last update.
The tower we showed you last week has gained more crossbeams and structure pieces:
The Volcano, Krakatau Mountain, has grown well past that opening we discussed last update:
In fact it has grown so much that the top can be seen from CityWalk by the globe near Universal Studios Entrance:
On the side of the Volcano more facade pieces are being put into place also seemingly everyday, rain or shine!
The wave pool area is very crowded with lots of little cranes and pieces for the Volcano:
More ground work is being done near one of the the valleys of the water coaster, remember at this point we feel this is for the kids play complex:
In this final overview shot, we see not much has been done with the water coaster but also that the site is very active in development.
It was a rainy day for picture taking, so apologies for some of the darker clouds and rain in some pictures!
