Upgraded Food Offerings for 2018 ~ California’s Great America

RailBlazer isn’t the only enhancement coming to California’s Great America for the 2018 season. The park will undergo drastic improvements to their food and beverage offerings with 4 new venues!

First up, a full-service Starbucks, located in the park’s Hometown Square area, just past Celebration Swings. All Starbucks favorite beverages including classic coffees, Frappuccinos® and Macchiatos, exotic teas, seasonal beverages and more will be available. The food menu includes fresh sandwiches, fruit and protein snacks, and bakery treats like scones, bagels, cakes and cookies.

An oversized window will offer great views of the midway and an outdoor patio will give that street market feel.

Next, a new venue is being built for French Quarter Funnel Cake & Churro Factory. The signature funnel cakes the park is known for will add additional flavors and custom options that can be mixed and match. The classic strawberry and powdered sugar funnel cakes are here to stay, and will be joined by new great flavors like blueberry, caramel, apple, cookies and cream, tropical coconut and pineapple.

The innovative churro selections include Campout (s’mores), key lime pie, strawberry shortcake, creamsicle, cookies and cream, tropical (coconut, pineapple and rum flavor), macha (white chocolate and Bavarian cream), cotton candy, apple pie and many more flavors.

Guests can enjoy their custom creations in Orleans Place’s new outside patio, situated where Sweet Tooth was previously located.

Over in Planet Snoopy, Joe Cool’s Cafe will be re-invented into Sierra Lodge. The new family dining experience will have a mountain lodge feel, inside and out, and feature wall murals of wild animals. Serving lines will be doubled and an extended patio will offer more space for patrons.

New food/ beverage selections are highlighted by a panini bar and a new Coca-Cola Barrilitos™ station will feature agua fresca (juice and water blends) such as pear cucumber, mango lime, strawberry hibiscus, and pineapple. Kid favorites like chicken tenders, mac and cheese, and pizza will still be available.

Another sweet addition is the Orleans Candy Kitchen, that will include a station where guests can custom order caramel apples. A fudge making window will attract people of all ages, and inside guests will find a wide assortment of fudge flavors, salt water taffy, and more sweet treats! Orleans Candy Kitchen will replace Trending Now.

Maggie Brown’s Smokehouse and Fried Chicken was reinvented last year with mouth watery BBQ. This year the experience will be modernized with more ordering kiosks for quicker service. A giant rotisserie and smoker will draw BBQ lovers to the venue and an expanded patio will provide extra space for diners.

With one of the first single rail roller coasters and now upgraded food options, California’s Great America will definitely  have tons to see, do and try this year! For more on this and other Cedar Fair announcements be sure to stay with our social accounts:
