Universal Orlando June 2016
Here we are, six fantastic months into the year. For our sixth update into Universal Orlando, we will be celebrating new.
This month we are starting with new developments before you even make it into to CityWalk, the parking hub merchandise and food and beverage locations have been removed from the center of the hub.
A new, somewhat temporary, site for each has been set-up along the walls between the two garages.
Moving into Citywalk, Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen has started “frosting” its self with some nice themeing items.
Including some new signage
All while the front of the building looks to have completed it masonry work.
In addition to all the new construction progress, The restaurant is looking for 100’s of new people to make it come to life soon. Check out the UO employment page for more details.
It’s no secret that our pets miss us when we leave them, but what do they really do? Illumination Entertainment’s newest film will peel back the rub and show us humans what our furry friends do during the day. In preparation for the films release, merchandise and signage has been added to the resort. Click the photo above for more about that.
I had to try out the photo booth. I chose Snowball, the vicious bunny from the film.
Since we are venturing around the studios park, Race Through New York exterior walls have started to come into place.
And the newly announced updated date for Fast and Furious: Fully Charged attraction is new this month.
When we were there, cranes continued to prepare the site for the new buildings to hold the attraction.
The location of the former Robo-Oasis has finally started to see some life fizz back into it.
These steel are popping from the walls
Smashing our way along, we enter Island Of Adventure. Who just received top honors by TripAdvisor as the best theme park in the world.
The entry arch with Hulk supporting the track and trains has started to materialize. We expect to see the Hulk figure in the very near future.
The water jets have swam their way back, though they are not active at the time, water has been added back to the upper levels of the lagoon track area.
The possible biggest new news this month is:
Began soft openings this month, shortly after the walls came down. While we have had the chance to ride, I am saving any video, audio and photos of inside the temple for a later date. Mostly, we want to share the completed and polished finished product of this fantastic attraction once that comes to life.
Though, the USA today article does a great job talking about the ride.
As time of summer burns away, The cooler temps of autumn await with the screams of the masses at HHN 26. Over the month, some new screams have been added, check out our HHN 26 round-up post to see what we know so far.
Such as this new tent that has found its way into the Men In Black extended queue. Do you dare to Chance this years event?! if so tickets are now on sale.
Before I speed away, This month’s Food Find is the Rotisserie Chicken Wrap from Thunder Falls
It makes for a great light meal in the heat.
