Universal Orlando Construction Update Feb 2 2016
The construction around both parks at the Universal Orlando Resort continues as the month of February begins.
The work on The new incarnation of The Incredible Hulk continues as more and more fresh track pieces arrive on site.
Meanwhile, work still continues on the lagoon side of the footprint.
Worker here are hard at work preparing the new footers to receive the support columns.
As track continues to be erected, this lone support should find a friend soon
Then making its way back home to the launch tube that look so foreign standing by itself.
Also at Islands of Adventure, we have another massive project that reigns over the back of the park.
The show doors have been finally revealed.
The work is still moving at a feverish pace to prepare the attraction to open. Crews are everywhere around the site.
The exteriors of the attraction is really taking shape, as it moves from more a building feel into something that you would stumble upon in the jungle.
I would expect to see ride vehicles gracing the exterior of the attraction with their presence very soon; however, I doubt that this would happen during park hours.
While, next door at the studios a storm of construction is happening there as well.
The former home to Twister has been completely gutted as crew prepare to build The Race through New York starring Jimmy Fallon.
On the subject of gutting buildings
The former Beetlejuice theater is wiped out and a large chunk of the Disaster show building has been leveled.
Only leaving the entry arch to the latter attraction currently untouched
At the front of the park, workers are saying Hello Kitty as the finishing touches of that project are coming together.
And on Citywalk the former NBA City looks to be turning from a demolition project into a construction project
Still no official release on what this building holds in store for us in the future.
Until next time; See you at the parks
