The Lowry Park Zoo located near downtown Tampa Announced 5 special events for the upcoming year.
The zoo brought back a couple old favorites and is introducing 3 new events this year.
Returning from the previous years:
WaZoo BeerFest presented by J.J. Taylor Distributing Florida, Inc. returning May 7th for an after hours all-inclusive tasting event features 250+ beers and beverages from 70 breweries worldwide, pub fare and live entertainment throughout the Zoo. For an added experience, the event will also offer the VIP Beastly Beer Club which adds a more exclusive experience than ever before, including beer and food parings, combined with early event entry. The event runs from 7:30pm until 10:30pm. Tickets can be purchased for the event beginning in March via the zoos website.
Feast with the Beasts, formerly Zoofari, returns for its 30th year this November. The zoo is celebrating Tampa’s “wildest” all-inclusive food event by taking it to a whole new level for 2016. The one-of-a-kind food, wine and spirits festival allows guests to indulge in this delicious dine-around event with fine wines, refreshing cocktails, live bands and a few wild surprises only a world-class Zoo can do. The all-inclusive tickets will go on sale in September via the zoos website.
Summer Sunset Celebration offers guests the chance to spend a little of their evening at the zoo. Guests have the opportunity to stroll through the Zoo as the sun sets and enjoy the wildlife, discover special experiences in scenic areas throughout the park including live music performed by talented bands and a wide-range of roving entertainment.
This event is also a great time to see the animals a bit more active as the hot summer days, give way to warm summer nights. As an added bonus, each fun-filled summer night will be topped off with a dazzling light show finale.
Creatures of the Night invites guests to hoot, howl and hangout in the perfect place for kids of all ages and grownups to celebrate Halloween at the all-new Creatures of the Night. There is no telling what wild encounters you will find in the Zoo after dark and you enter immersive themed areas with startling surprises all around.
The zoo bugs out for this spooky event, featuring a Jack-O-Lantern display, distinctive insect encounters, Halloween-themed shows, roving characters, up-close animal interactions and themed dining opportunities and spooky mazes.
Christmas in the Wild will allow guests to celebrate this traditional holiday amidst the zoo in true glowing fashion.
Come celebrate a merry and memorable evening at this all-new illuminating experience with immersive light displays and lively light shows choreographed to joyful holiday tunes in the unique setting of the Zoo at night. The zoo will bring the wonders of the holiday season to life this holiday with a new Santa experience, strolling entertainment, Christmas carolers, and special holiday performances every night.

The Sunset Celebration, Creatures of the Night and Christmas in the Wild events are included with zoo membership and the ZooperPass (pay for a day, come back all year tickets; some blackout dates apply) or event tickets are available after 4pm day of event.
