Steel Vengeance Construction Update #8 ~ Cedar Point
It has been awhile since we were able to bring you an update on the progress on the first hyper hybrid coaster.
That is mainly because not much progress has been made. The lift is still where we showed you weeks ago:
With the start of Halloweekends we can now get across the railroad tracks in the evening and on Sunday afternoons to get to Deprivation; a blackout house located on the infield the new ride. More work on the lift/ drop will be completed once the taller larger crane arrives. Last time we heard this was expected before the end of the season. We hope to see completion of track work well before the end of the season on 10/29.
Walking under the track will always be fun and we can’t wait to do it once Steel Vengeance is roaring into the night:
Just as it used to be with Mean Streak, the structure is lit up nicely at night:
As mentioned in the daytime video above, we can clearly see the return to station track is now installed:
UPDATE: We’ve added some daytime shots from Sunday afternoon, again please remember to never trespass or go into restricted zones. All the pictures you see above are taken from guest areas!
The inversions are more and more awesome the closer we get to them:
The lower to the ground rails are again the return to station track that goes up hill to the left and back into the station area.
The second major turn from the infield
For more be sure to stay tuned to our socials, where we’ll be sure to share as soon as we see that bigger crane hoisting more track!
