Here’s a small compilation of the ride in action from the queue and entrance area! Expect a longer video from many more angles soon!

Steel Vengeance means more than just another coaster to Cedar Point, the park really reached deeper on this one and re-thought the whole story on Frontier Town. From roaming characters, to western movies themes all around and even a traditional looking general store!

You also see some posters and older looking advertisement posters in the area as well. Even the trash cans are just barrels, replacing the high-tech ones that used to be in the area.

There’s even some great BBQ at Miss Keats:

My Thoughts

As far as Frontier Town as a whole goes, I really hope the park continues to build on this start and grow the area and story-line further. The characters, area music, improved BBQ offering, and wonderfully storied attractions (Maverick and Steel Vengeance) makes this area one of the best themed immersive lands in a park, anywhere! I know some will hate on that last part “anywhere” but I truly believe for original non-ip  Cedar Point has nailed this one and again I hope they continue the trend. Great thrills with great stories!

Steel Vengeance is like something I’ve never ridden, admitting I have ridden a few other RMCs in the country. With over 360 different coasters ridden as of this post, and over 30 rides on Steel Vengeance so far I can honestly say this is without any doubt my favorite coaster! Judge me if you must, call me a fan boy if you must but there is no doubt and hasn’t been since I got off my second ride. For reference before Steel Vengeance my favorite Steel was Millennium (again hate if you must) and Beast is still my favorite wooden coaster.

The first few rides some may feel they are being whipped in every direction, but it’s still super smooth (smoothest ride in the park) and a coaster full of great airtime moments. My favorite element is the 3rd? hill after the mid-course where you go from being banked outward to inward at the apex and dive all the to the ground through the structure. My seat suggestion is the back row and it is smooth enough to be a great ride from back there. RMC and Cedar Point really brought us a coaster like no other and I can’t wait to ride again and again! Worth the wait no matter what and if you can, go for a night ride too!
