Splash Country welcomes its 16th season
Guests know summer fun is right around the corner when Dollywood’s Splash Country opens its gates.
Those gates opened for the season on Saturday, May 14.
The water adventure park is home to RiverRush, Tennessee’s first and only water coaster, dozens of slides and multiple water themed adventures continues to improve upon its while continually garnering national and international recognition by industry leaders since first opening in 2001.
In 2016, guests will enjoy new upgrades to the turnstiles and retreats and canopies. Those with families now have more family locker space.
Another newbie in 2016, The park has greatly enhanced its food and beverage options. A delicious fried dough pastry originating from Canada called BeaverTails swim in to the park. These whole wheat and hand-stretched pieces of dough are cooked fresh and served with your choice of topping. They are amazing, btw!
Another new addition brings swimmers a taste of New York, gourmet hot dogs from Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs, crinkle cut fries, and 1/3 lb. burgers on a brioche bun.
Apart from being a beautiful water park, Splash Country can boast it is recipient of the prestigious Platinum International Aquatic Safety Award from Jeff Ellis & Associates, Inc. So as you slide, lounge and float around everyone is going to love soaking up the fun at one of the safest water parks in the world.
Dollywood’s Splash Country opens begins its daily operation beginning on Saturday, May 21. Daily operation continues through Sunday, August 14, while the park opens on weekends through Labor Day weekend.
