During this 360-degree fully immersive ride, riders are equipped with wireless VR headsets that allow them to feel the heart-pumping adrenaline of steep drops, high speeds, powerful twists and turns as state of the art technology synchronize the world of Metropolis perfectly to the real world motion of the coaster.

SUPERMAN The Ride  is the worlds tallest, fastest and longest Virtual Reality Coaster.

John Winkler, Park President of Six Flags New England

“Our property is thrilled to provide the latest in ride technology and innovation with a brand new virtual reality ride experience, We are excited and proud to offer SUPERMAN the Ride Virtual Reality Coaster on one of the best steel coasters on the planet. Integrating this new technology is a game changer for the entire theme park industry, and we are honored to be one of the first parks in North American to launch this new ride experience.”

You can see some great previews of the ride below.

Guests are then taken on a leisurely (or so they think) tour of the city of Metropolis, courtesy of Metropolis Sky Tours. Just after departing the station riders encounter Lex Luthor who uses an anti-gravity gun along with his army of Lex Bots to create chaos throughout the city with cars, taxis and buses floating in mid-air around the rider’s vehicle. As the Lexbots attack at the vehicle, SUPERMAN soars into action. Riders will be taken through hairpin twists and turns, loops, dips and dives all while Superman fights to save the day from Lex and the Lexbots.
