Universal’s newest attraction entered its technical rehearsal or “soft opening” phase immediately after an employee preview today:
While there is no queue there are 2 waiting rooms. Eventually there will be a virtual queue system implemented outside of the main entrance. Inside, a color coded system using the NBC Peacock lights up the color being called to advance from waiting room 1 to waiting room 2. After that, it’s on to the rides pre-show:
The first waiting room is essentially a museum to all the past hosts of The Tonight Show and has lots to check out:
Upstairs in the 2nd waiting room we find a small stage and some more interactive games to occupy your time while you wait. On the stage the “Ragtime Gals” sings some modern songs barbershop style. Also, we occasionally get an appearance from hashtag the panda!
Onto the pre-show, we can see highlights of that along with the above mentioned Ragtime Gals in the video below:
Race Through New York starring Jimmy Fallon officially opens April 6th and Jimmy Fallon will be in town taping shows leading up to the occasion.
We hope to have more detailed photos very soon from the ride as time progresses. So be sure to stay tuned to our socials as we share more!
