Planet Snoopy Expansion Announced For Carowinds in 2018

Carowinds has just announced a much needed Camp Snoopy Expansion for 2018. This massive expansion will bring 6 new children attractions to the park. This expansion is following up the very successful Planet Snoopy expansions that Worlds of Fun received in 2016 and Kings Dominion in 2017. The expansions have not been identical which is great as it adds a unique variety in the chain. Below we take a look at the many new rides coming in 2018.

The first attraction is a Camp Bus which is an attraction they also have at Cedar Point and Worlds of Fun.

They will also be receiving PEANUTS™ Trailblazers which is jeep themed speedway ride.

Kite Eating Tree Will also debut at the park which is a kite themed Shooting Star kids bounce tower ride . This is something that Kings Dominion received in their Planet Snoopy expansion this year.

Pig Pen’s Mud Buggies On this new ride kids will be able to spin and bounce around one of their favorite characters Pig Pen.

Woodstock Whirlybirds On this classic ride guests will be able to spin around in an oversized birds nest.

The last new attraction Beagle Scout Acres will be an 8,000 square foot climb and play area. This looks like an amazing new feature for children and contains even a special fenced in area for toddlers.

Also for 2018, Carowinds will introduce the Pre-K Pass, a free season pass specifically for children. The Pre-K Pass provides complimentary admission for kids three to five years of age throughout the 2018 season as well as the remainder of 2017. Online pre-registration is required. We will also see improvements made to the child care facility and Snack Shack.
