Mako Construction Update #9 ~ SeaWorld Orlando

We are now just a few pieces away from seeing completed track work at Mako, so as you can imagine this week’s update is very track filled.

Starting of though we take a look at the signage we highlighted last week which has now seen the addition of some blue wave themeing:

Here’s a look again at that concept:

Just behind it we see the tarp covering the habitat has been removed and the habitat has been refurbished including the resealing of the pond floors and the animals are expected to return soon:

Next up a newer wall that emerged last week next to Shark’s Underwater Grill appears just to be for concrete work as they have been re-doing the entire area a little at a time:

Next up a moment I’ve been really excited to see and share, pathway flyover track:

The whole inside the park track area has now been completed including the lagoon dive, next up for this area  would imagine the removal of the dirt so it can look closer to the concept art:

A look from across the lagoon show how spectacular this coaster will look on the water:

Taking a look from some aerial views now we see the turnaround element still not making much more progress, but with the completion of in park track work this is the last remaining area where track will be installed:

The station area seems to be progressing very nicely:

Also the entry/exit building where the shipwreck fly through is looking better everyday:

The aerial shot of the track we highlighted  above is yet another cool perspective:

Another interesting thing is on several supports in my pictures you may be noticing gray color instead of the color scheme on the rest of the coaster, like this:

I believe that this will be for themeing of the reefs in the area as highlighted in another concept picture:

To close, this first time I started taking pictures of the area after the coaster was announced:

It amazes me how fast time flies:
