Hershey’s Chocolatetown Breaks Ground and New Details Released
We may only be a couple weeks into 2019 but Hersheypark is already looking ahead to 2020! This past week the groundbreaking for Hershey’s Chocolatetown took place and we got some new details to share. Be sure to take a look back to the original announcement day to see even more!
Some of the park’s fun character even joined in with the excitement:
Moving on to the new details we now have a map showing the new area and a couple new concept pieces to see.
Starting with the map, we can see many of the experiences outside of the park are just to the left of the entrance (#7)
The Carousel moves from its current location to #9. Currently the Carousel is sitting where the 3 blue blocks are just to the left of Skyrush in the map above.
We really can’t wait to learn details on #12, which will be the park’s 15th roller coaster. All we really know so far is that it looks to be B&M.
Straight inside the new arrival experience and under what looks to be a finale element on the new coaster, is the Kisses Fountain. If you look closely in the concept below, you can see the fountain just inside the gate
Finally a concept look from inside the park shows us what the finished area will looks like. We can see the fountain, entrance area, part of the new coaster and the carousel in its new location:
