Disney’s famous International Flower and Garden Festival returns to Epcot for its 24th year. The festival runs daily now through May 29th.
While this festival may not be as heavily focused on food like the Food and Wine Festival in the Fall is, there are many great food and drink offerings. In addition to last years 13 outdoor kitchen booths where you can find all of your favorite dishes, there are 2 brand new additions bringing up the total to 15 unique stops to eat and drink.
The first new outdoor kitchen is Northern Bloom which is located in Canada. This kitchen features seared scallops, beef tenderloin tips, and Nanaimo bars which is a Canadian dessert. Also offered are many unique beverage options including their new maple popcorn shake that comes in both an alcoholic and non alcoholic version.
The second new outdoor kitchen The Berry Basket is located in the Showcase Plaza. This new kitchen features dishes and drinks with a berry influence. These include a blackberry gastrique lamb chop, a strawberry field greens salad, and a warm wild berry buckle dessert. This is also where you can find the Twinings Green Tea berry mint julep which also comes in a non alcoholic version.
With all the different food and beverage offerings, it can be easy to forget all of the other great things to see and do at the festival. Every Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday night the America Gardens Theater hosts its Garden Rocks Concert Series featuring 16 of your favorite musical acts.
