Firehawk Closing at Kings Island

This past Friday, Kings Island gave us the news that their Vekoma Flying Dutchman, Firehawk would give its last rides 10/28. Firehawk was originally located at Six Flags Worlds of Adventure in Aurora, Ohio. According to a few ex-management sources, the coaster was actually only supposed to stay at the park for 10 seasons. With the conclusion of this season it will be 12.

Earlier this season as part of Coasterstock, we got a chance to take a behind the scenes tour of Firehawk. Check out the pictures and video below:

While there has been no replacement announced yet for Firehawk with its removal and the neighboring Dinosaurs Alive closing at the end of last year, we can only imagine something is in the works for these sites.

Stay tuned to our social channels for more updates from the park including deconstruction of Firehawk, if it happens before the end of Winterfest.
