Disney’s annual premier event in culinary and beverage diversity, the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival, will expand once again this year! The 2016 festival will run from September 14 – November 14 and will add all new interactive culinary experience as well as new marketplace tastes at some booths! This makes it a 62-day event bringing it up from last years 53-day event.
“Mix it, Make it, Celebrate it!” a hands on interactive workshop, will be featured in the festival center and offer guests a chance to learn a variety of culinary, baking, and mixology skills.
Returning as always will be the nightly “Eat to the Beat” concert series with a few new acts already announced:
- Wang Chung
- Delta Rae
- Toad the Wet Sprocket
Even more Disney resort festival experiences are planned, with a new brunch, cooking school and other fresh culinary adventures.
For the 2nd straight year marketplace booths will extend into future world making the food and beverage offering nearly park-wide! Speaking of marketplace offerings, guests will be able to have a hard soda float at the Desserts and Champagne booth this year. Also, a savory vegan dish will debut at the Greece Booth and Farm Fresh marketplace will be re-imagined with all new flavors from Florida’s Bounty.
Culinary icons like Cat Cora, Norman Van Aken, Masaharu Morimoto, Elizabeth Falkner, Buddy Valastro and Jamie Deen will entertain foodies and inspire their palates at new and returning premium events that include re-imagined Party for the Senses grand tastings with new concepts and themes.
Ratatouille returns — Chef Remy of “Ratatouille” returns with his fun-for-the-family culinary scavenger hunt!
The all new features of the event have us excited already and we can’t wait to pour out more details as they are shared with us!
