Epcot Announces 35th Annniversary Plans for October 1, 2017

It’s hard to believe Epcot opened on October 1, 1982 and now it’s 35th anniversary is coming up! What an incredible milestone. Disney World has announced special one day celebrations for the event.

A commemorative 35th anniversary map will be available that day only at the front entrance and guest relations.

The first event will take place at 10:01 AM; it will be a ceremony on the Fountain View stage. Voices of Liberty and Mariachi Cobre will be a part of the ceremony’s entertainment.

There will be merchandise sales for that day only, including “I Was There” collector’s items. This temporary merchandise location will be located next to Art of Disney. Other 35th anniversary merchandise (not part of the “I Was There” collection) will be available at Mouse Gear.

Lastly, the day will end with a 35th anniversary tag of fireworks after the Illuminations: Reflections of Earth show at 9 PM.
