Disney’s Hollywood Studios Construction Update ~ 11/1/16

We took a stroll around the park to check out all the changes we’ve been hearing about. Below, find our November Hollywood Studios constrction update:

First up at PizzeRizzo, lots of signage in place as the restaurant is now officially scheduled to open November 18th:

I love all of the cool details coming into play:

I still love the little Easter egg on this sign alluding to the previous inhabitant of the building that also happened to serve pizza:

As we see from a wider angle the restaurant appears near ready for its mid-November opening:

Nearby a more controversial move has been made to remove the fountain in front of Muppetvision 3-D in favor of this planter, but fear not as we have heard from multiple sources the fountain should be returning at some point!

On a more permanent removal note, the Hall Fame celebrity bust display has a wall around it for the last time:

Over on Sunset Boulevard, Steven Tyler and Aerosmith are taking some time off while the ride is in refurbishment:

Onto the biggest update, and possibly most empty, lots of clearing has taken place lately including the near complete removal of the Streets of America, which sadly means the harsh reminder of no Osborne Spectacles this year. This one set of facades is all that remains:

Also in recent news, Writer’s Stop has recently been absorbed behind the walls and is obviously closed:

Back by the exit to Muppetvision, we can still see some remnants of the Phineas and Ferb meet and greet but everything else appears gone:

Over at the end of Pixar Place’s street the other wall shows us the entire removal of Backlot Tour, Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground, and the counter service restaurant. Also of note, but not really pictured is the absence of Lights, Motors, Action’s grandstand and theater facades:

Well that puts an empty finish on this update. Be sure to stay tuned as we cover the opening days of PizzeRizzo and just a few days before that the debut of Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! Be sure to watch our social channels for all the fun:
