Well, it has been awhile since we last updated you on Cobra’s Curse at Busch Gardens; but this update is really exciting as we bring you the testing phase and several highlights throughout the area! So let’s slither into another update!
A great place to start seems to be the entrance:
Now the day we visited, 5/16/16, walls were still up here. However just a day later a friend of our @elvenage snapped and shared a photo twitter that he is now letting us share with you:
Next up, we visit the new Cobra’s Crypt gift shop that will be at the exit of the ride:
Lots of cool merchandise including: themed candy, shirts, drink glasses and even Cobra’s Curse wine is now for sale in the shop:
If you’re a pass member, there is an exclusive pin while supplies last, that we just couldn’t resist buying:
As we mentioned the exit to the ride is in here as well as the place to buy your on-ride photos:
Another new addition that recently opened, is Serpent’s Snacks and a ride lockers area right next door:
Finally, we move into the excitement of the day, Cobra’s Curse is testing in preparation for opening very soon! Below are some highlights of the testing we saw.
First up, a train ascends the elevator lift tower:
Next the train heads right for the strike of the Snake King:
As the trains enter a mid-course break they turn backwards:
Next, it is on to a small helix, then ascending the next lift hill backwards:
After dropping off the 2nd lift, the train free-spins its way back to the station:
Pictures can’t always do justice to a story were trying to tell and since the coaster tested for an extended period while we were there, I captured enough footage to make a short highlight video of Cobra’s Curse in action! Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube page while you’re there!
That about does it for us in this update on the land of the Snake King! We can’t wait to see the queue and take a spin on Cobra’s Curse!
