Cobra’s Curse Construction Update #1 ~ Busch Gardens Tampa

Today we bring you the sites first construction update on Busch Gardens Tampa’s newest coaster:

Starting off we take a look at the progress on the station and areas near. Track work is pretty much completed including drive wheels installed on these areas. We also notice more cinder block work nearby and even more progress on the queue building:

Nearby we notice the transfer track and ride vehicle garage also nearing completion:

Looking past the station we see the steps top no where, these are maintenance stairs  for the elevator style lift the cars will be taken up to start their cursed experience on the ride:

Looking out into the rest of the site we notice lots of the rides speed portions have been completed:

We also notice something that has been up almost since track started getting put into place, a mid-course brake run:

Another cool part that is clearly visible is the drive wheel lift; after this section it is said the free spinning portion of the ride will commence:

The next sections of track are eagerly awaiting to be installed and the trough for a very exciting portion of the ride is being readied. This section will feature a tunnel dive under the train tracks before concluding the ride:

Overall this project is looking more and more exciting by the day. This will be a solid addition to the park and will bring more traffic to a forgotten area of the park:
