Hello again. It has been a week since I last brought you an update showing off the preparation of Catastrophe Canyon for demolition. They are in full demolition mode and I’m sure that in a matter of days nothing will remain from this original MGM Studios attraction.
There really is not a whole lot that can be said as the pictures will really be doing all the talking. It is an amazing sight to behold as the park begins to bring us Star Wars Land.
Mickey looks as though he is welcoming the changes. Or is he saying move along kids.. Nothing to see here?
Remember the Mohave Oil Co. Plane as you entered the Canyon? Here is it’s status today.
The truck was slowly getting taken a apart today. The front grille of the truck was sawed off before my eyes today.
The main portion of Catastrophe Canyon is still standing, however it is slowly being eaten away by the huge machinery.
Overall there is a lot of work being done around the site.
A Worker cuts up some of the utility wires.
I presume that demolition will continue at a pretty rapid pace. They were making quick work today.
The Iconic Earful Tower still stands at the park and will be soon joining Catastrophe Canyon at the scrap yard.
That will wrap up this update from Hollywood Studios.
Be sure to take a look at last week’s Hollywood Studios post to see what changes happened over the week.
