The lighthouse of LEGOLAND Florida’s second on-site resort now shines bright and illuminates a new chapter in the construction progress.
The new resort, scheduled to open mid-2017, will feature a more than 45 feet tall lighthouse to welcome guests to the resort. The lighthouse will also serve as the central hub of the resort featuring a restaurant, pool bar and a giant sandcastle-themed LEGO building area.
Recently, the resort celebrated the milestone of illuminating the structure with an energy-efficient LED light. As with any lighthouse, the LED fixture shines its light across the new resort as it rotates.
Along with the recent new light coming from the lighthouse, LEGOLAND shed some light on other aspects of the resort.
Sandy’s Castle Restaurant This anchor restaurant features a menu built to please both kids and adults. Sandy will offer guests three meals a day, of which breakfast is included with each night’s stay.
Brick’s Beach Bar- offers guest a made-to-order menu, drinks and creative cocktails served either poolside or indoors.
Retail Space- where guest can brick up on LEGO building sets, apparel, toys, swimwear, snacks and sundries.
Elsewhere around the resort, Concrete has been poured for the largest themed resort pool on property. This outdoor oasis will include a large sandy play area, a variety of poolside activities, sandcastle building, beanbag toss and much more.
The 83 beach-themed bungalows, totaling 166 guest units, in the radial village-style resort are bricked out from top to bottom and divided up into thirteen sections with each section is named after a popular LEGO Minifigure.
